Neighbors & Nations
Neighbors & Nations is a semi-annual emphasis designed to equip and mobilize TCBC for gospel advancement beginning next door and reaching around the world. We will be challenged to Pray diligently, Give generously, and Go faithfully to our neighbors and the nations!
Our focus this Neighbors & Nations during the weeks of November 15 & 22, 2026 isthe Go Pursuit of Reach the Unreached.
We Reach the Unreached to advance the gospel to all people. Unreached peoples and places are those where Christ is largely unknown and the church is not able to make Christ known in its broader population without outside help. Advancing the gospel to unreached, unengaged people is a prioritized work.
– Reach: Local Access – We reach all people with the gospel. We continue to make Jesus known to our neighbors and those with local access to the gospel.
– Reach: Limited Access – We reach all people with the gospel. We make Jesus known to those with limited access to the gospel.
– Reach: No Access – We reach all people with the gospel. We make Jesus known to those with no access to the gospel.

Dr. Paul Chitwood
Dr. Chitwood has served as president of the International Mission Board (IMB) since November 2018. He previously served as executive director of the Kentucky Baptist Convention from 2011-2018. For 18 years prior, Dr. Chitwood pastored several local churches in Kentucky. During his pastorates, he served as chairman of the International Mission Board’s trustees from 2008-10, as part of his tenure as an IMB trustee from 2002-10. A native of Jellico, Tennessee, he is a graduate of Cumberland College and earned a master’s degree in nonprofit administration from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame. He earned the Master of Divinity and Ph.D. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary served and also served as a faculty member of the seminary from 2002-2018. He and his wife, Michelle, have four children.

Join the Go: Care Team as we host our missionary partners James & Tracey Watson to hear updates on their ministry, learn how to better pray for them and other missionaries, consider future opportunities to serve with them, and be challenged to pursue personal faithfulness to the Great Commission. Students: Launch – “Resourcing Students to Reach Their Friends With the Gospel“

Saturday, November 21
Go Mobilization Breakfast – 9:00am in Adult Hall & Kids Hall
Breakfast will be served for everyone in the Adult Hall from 9:00-9:30. Age-specific programs begin at 9:45.
– Go Prayer Meeting – Adults will pray for those who have never heard the name of Jesus, more laborers for the harvest, and our mission partners around the world.
– Preschool Storytime & Go Collections – Preschool families
– KidSend – Elementary children from Kindergarten through 5th grade

ETSU International Students Thanksgiving Dinner – 6:00pm at the Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) on ETSU’s campus
Join TCBC’s Go Team and College Ministry partners with ETSU’s BCM to provide a Thanksgiving meal to college students from all over the world. RSVP coming soon.
