Go Groups

Go Groups

Go Groups are a group of disciples of Jesus led by a disciple-maker with an intentional plan to take a next step of growth toward Christlikeness through consistent investment.

Go Groups provide biblical community and discipling opportunities for every follower of Jesus. They have freedom to decide when and where they meet, how long they’ll meet, and how many people will be in the group. Some Go Groups are informal, as small as one person discipling another, while other groups may have 10, 25, or even 100 people. More important than size is purpose: in Go Groups, disciple makers are intentionally helping one another take their next step of growth in Christlikeness, seeking to add what is missing, expand what is growing, and restore what is neglected.

Go Groups pursue three aims:

  • Study – devoted to biblical truth and doctrine
  • Fellowship – taking the truth of the Word into our relationships
  • Serve – living out the truths of Scripture in serving others

Core Doctrines For Life With Jesus – 9:30am

Purpose: The main purpose of the Study Group Ministry is to train participants to grow as disciples and disciple makers of Jesus through the study and application of God’s Word.

Focus: The main teaching focus within the Study Group Ministry this semester is to examine the doctrine of salvation and apply the foundational truths found within this doctrine to our lives.

Practice and Pursuits: This Study Group Ministry will help disciples evaluate how well our stated beliefs actually translate into lived and applied belief. Disciples will consider the practical implications of our union with Christ by examining the positional salvation aspects of regeneration, conversion, justification, and adoption and the pursuit aspects of sanctification, perseverance, glorification and eternity. Disciples will be equipped to help others grow in understanding and application of these doctrines crucial to our abiding relationship with Jesus.

Pastor: Wes Tucker

Proverbs – 11:00am

Focus: The main teaching focus within this Study Group Ministry this semester is to equip disciples of Jesus to grow in their understanding and pursuit of godly wisdom by studying the book of Proverbs.

Practices and Pursuits: This Study Group Ministry will help you grow in wisdom as a Jesus follower. The “fear of the Lord” is where wisdom begins, and it defines the way we value, pursue, submit to, and help others walk in wisdom within the context of everyday life.
