December 2025
At Advent, we are purposeful to aim our celebrations around Christ’s first coming to help us look forward toward His return. We remember to anticipate. Find resources, including a daily reading and meditation plan, at tcbchurch.org/advent.
For Nextgen families: throughout Advent, all ages ponder the same Big Truths in the Family Discipleship Plan. Pursue conversations around God’s Word as a family that aim your heart to rejoice in and long for King Jesus. Pick up a Family Resource Kit from the preschool or elementary halls to help you lead your family this Advent.

Believe & Live: The Gospel According to John
tcbchurch.org/john
January – November 2026
John 20:30-31 – Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
In 2026, we will study the gospel of John. John clearly proclaims Jesus as the Christ, the Son of God lovingly sent by the Father to save those who believe. In Him, there is hope beyond death. By believing in Him, we have life in His name. Therefore believe and live.
Resources: We work diligently to organize resources to help you and those around you read and study for transformational growth. Familiarize yourself with the resources available. Set your plan. Get others involved and be purposeful.
- Workouts – New for our churchwide study of John are weekly workouts. The term and design is borrowed from the MS and HS Family Discipleship Plan. Each Workout guides us to Ponder, Pray, and Practice through the week’s John passage. Additionally, the Workouts will align with Behind the Message, a new podcast, and Prepare. You can find these each week at tcbchurch.org/john.
- Behind the Message – Every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. we’ll review the previous week and set up the upcoming week in John. Behind the Message is a great place to ask questions and connect with others around the Workouts.
- The Ponder Pod – This new podcast replaces the Behind the Message podcast in 2026. The subtle difference is in the aim. The Behind the Message podcast aimed to help us talk about the text. The Ponder Pod aims to help us rightly ponder (study and meditate) on the text. New episodes are released on Thursdays. Search tcbchurch on YouTube or wherever you get your podcasts. The current episode will also be available at tcbchurch.org/john.
- Prepare: Doers of the Word – Prepare is a Go Group that meets downstairs in the adult hall on Sundays. There is a Prepare at 9:30am and 11:00am Throughout our study of John it will begin with a purposeful time of prayer, specifically aimed at praying according to our weekly reading. Then, coming out of this time of prayer, it will facilitate a shared call to put into practice what we’re reading.
All of these resources are designed to align and work together, but also be meaningful and individually sufficient for growth. So whether you participate in all of them or pick and choose based on other needs, you’ll find help, accountability, and a community seeking transformational learning.

2026 Budget Proposal & Christmas Give
2026 Budget Proposal
The church is charged to be generous, worship through our giving, and steward the resources entrusted to us. Our yearly budget is a practical tool designed to help us steward with prayerful and purposeful diligence. Please help us by doing the following:
- Review the 2026 Budget Proposal. If you have questions or ideas, contact Stewardship Pastor, Cameron Tucker. We want to hear them. Whether they help us this year, next year, or just bring additional clarity, we all benefit.
- Our budget represents a real ministry plan for 2026. Begin praying for God’s favor and our faithfulness.
- Reassess your generosity and giving, and don’t just focus on the amount. Give attention to your heart, worship, and submission to Jesus’ Lordship.
2025 Christmas Give
Give2Go is a missions fund established for TCBC family to participate together in making Jesus known around the world. While a significant portion of our regular giving to the general fund is allocated to Great Commission causes, Give2Go is the primary opportunity for TCBC members to give above and beyond regular tithes and offerings toward advancing the gospel and making disciples. Together, as God provides through the sacrificial generosity of His church, we will multiply our capacity to advance the gospel across 5 Go Pursuits: Send Disciples, Reach the Unreached, Serve the Vulnerable, Train Leaders, and Plant Churches.
Christmas Give is an annual giving challenge to celebrate Christmas by giving above and beyond to advance the gospel of Jesus. Every gift given goes to TCBC’s Give2Go Missions Fund. This Christmas, begin praying as a family about how you might celebrate by generously giving to advance the gospel of Jesus. A special opportunity for celebratory giving will be made at the Christmas Eve service but gifts can be given at any time, in any format by simply noting “Christmas Give.”
East Tennessee Biblical Counseling
In 2025, TCBC helped launch East Tennessee Biblical Counseling, whose mission is to partner with local churches to provide Christ-centered biblical counseling to people who are experiencing a difficult season of life. We are thankful to the Lord for this growing ministry and the life-changing impact it is having in the Tri-Cities.
In 2026, EastTNBC will seek to provide 1500+ hours of biblical counseling that will directly impact 100+ lives in the Tri-Cities area. Also, the third biblical counseling cohort will launch to train several individuals across multiple churches to do the work of biblical counseling. If you’re not already, please pray for Pastor Jeremy and all those serving with East Tennessee Biblical Counseling. Prayerfully consider giving financially to this ministry as it seeks to disciple others, advance God’s Kingdom, and connect people to healthy local churches.
Learn more about the needs that biblical counseling seeks to meet, request counseling, or find information about being trained in biblical counseling at easttnbc.org.
