Our prayer and aim is to equip the next generation of worship leaders for gospel ministry within the local church for the glory of God and the good of His people.
PLAN:
The worship ministry residency is a two-year program for immersive training and investment within the context of a healthy local church. Spiritual Formation
Every Jesus follower is called to abide in Christ. He is the true vine and we are the branches (John 15:4-5). At TCBC, we care more about who you are becoming in Christ than what you are doing in ministry. During this residency you will be challenged and equipped to grow in your abiding relationship with Jesus through ongoing encouragement, community, and one-on-one mentorship.
Leadership Equipping
Jesus has given his church leaders to “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, the building up the body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12-13). One of the primary aims of the residency program is to help you grow as both a disciple maker and leader. Worship ministry is more than singing songs, playing instruments, or planning services. It is a means to help people worship, adore, and grow in Jesus. As a part of the residency program you will have the opportunity to observe and participate in TCBC staff leadership meetings and elder meetings as well receive training as a leader within programmatic and discipleship settings within the local church.
Ministry Experience
God has given every Jesus follower talents and spiritual gifts to leverage for His glory and the good of others (Romans 12:3-8). One of the practical aims of the worship ministry residency is to provide you with multiple opportunities to gain ministry experience within a local church context. This will include serving and leading within the worship ministry at TCBC as well as other areas within the church as a whole. Participants will also have opportunities to serve in domestic and international ministry and missions settings.
Theological Training
It is God’s desire and design that His Word would be taught and proclaimed so that His people might grow into spiritual maturity (2 Timothy 3:16-17). This requires training so that we might rightly handle the Scriptures. Another practical aim of the worship ministry residency is the opportunity for theological training. TCBC has an ongoing partnership with Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and offers students the opportunity to receive an MA in Christian Ministry or MA in Worship Ministry as a part of their residency experience.
PROVISION:
Along with the investment opportunities previously mentioned, the worship ministry residency program also offers the opportunity for participants to receive a financial stipend, housing, and seminary scholarship.
