Jesus is God in the flesh. He is the Son of God who came down to the earth to be the sacrifice for our sin. God is one God in three persons and Jesus is the Son of God. GO Spotlight

Plant Churches

One of our 5 Go Pursuits is Plant Churches. We send, resource, and partner with new churches for the purpose of proclaiming the gospel in communities with lower access to healthy churches. Several of our partners have great things to celebrate!

Overland Church Durango had baptisms for 12 consecutive Sundays through March 29!

Refuge Church in Irving, Texas held their public launch on March 22. TCBC members Benji & Coral Nunn joined them. This church has a unique opportunity to reach people from all over the world, as evidenced by the fact that the first worship song was sung in 8 different languages, and 3 seekers from their ESL classes attended.

Long-time friends of TCBC, Overland Church in Fort Collins, Colorado, commissioned and sent 75 people to plant Overland Church North in another part of their city on March 29. Their first gathering was Easter Sunday!

Hampton Community Church baptized their first new believer in February and have recently seen another come to faith in Jesus as well. The Lord has also brought several new unchurched families to their gatherings recently. During Neighbors & Nations, a TCBC Go: Serve team helped them improve their facilities leading up to hosting their Easter gathering, prepare a new area for baptisms, organize a brand new kids area, and assisted an elderly church member move to a new home.

High School BIG TRUTH:
GOD IS WITH YOU WHEREVER YOU GO

BIBLE VERSE: ACTS 18:9-10
“And the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, ‘Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, for I am with you and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many in this city who are my people.”

BIG IDEAS

  • Be occupied with the Word.
  • Be courageous in the face of persecution.
  • Be bold to make Jesus known

Read and meditate on Acts 18:1-23 this week. Use the questions below to guide your meditation:

  • Ponder how to discuss with your son or daughter that God is always with them.
  • Consider how to model sharing Jesus boldly no matter the circumstances.
  • Ponder how to discuss with your son or daughter some of the ways they can overcome their fears of sharing the Gospel.
