Go: Pray

Go: Pray

There is an inescapable link between prayer and gospel advancement. By prayer, we invite God to do what only He can do in the lives of the lost.

monthly focus: february

  • Love Your City Week
    • TCBC is joining with other churches as part of Love Your City Week from February 15-21 to bless organizations serving vulnerable populations, invite others to church, pray for the lost, and have gospel conversations in our workplaces and neighborhoods. Pray each day this week for:
      • Sun, Feb 15:  Pray for boldness and opportunity to make Jesus known where we live, work, and play.
      • Mon, Feb 16:  Pray for Christian teachers in our schools to see their classrooms as mission fields and to live as salt and light in front of their students and co-workers.
      • Tues, Feb 17:  Pray for vulnerable children, teens, and families in our communities and the churches, agencies, organizations, and foster parents that serve them.
      • Wed, Feb 18:  Pray for the health and gospel witness of churches in Kingsport and surrounding communities.
      • Thurs, Feb 19: Pray for Kingsport’s police, firefighters, and EMTs that serve our community.
      • Fri, Feb 20: Pray for the lost in the city of Kingsport.
      • Sat, Feb 21: Pray for essential workers like hospital staff that work and serve our community in all conditions.
  • Ramadan
    • There are almost 2 billion Muslims in the world. Most will fast and pray in observance of Ramadan from February 18-March 20. This is a crucial time when many Muslims are open to having spiritual conversations. Pray that their hearts will soften as Ramadan approaches. Pray for open doors for fruitful gospel conversations. Pray that believers from Muslim families will boldly share the hope they have in Him. Click here to view a 30-day prayer guide to use during Ramadan.
    • TCBC is also praying specifically for North African peoples during this Ramadan. Almost all North Africans – 99.9% of the 103 million people in 5 countries – identify as Muslim. All 47 people groups in this region are unreached. There are no historic Christian communities, and there is no legal mechanism for a church to exist. The theological problem of most North African Muslims is believing they need atonement for their sin and the truth that only Jesus provides it. They believe in Jesus’s historic existence, but they believe lies about who He is and what He has done. Pray that these North African Muslims would “believe and live!”

go tripS & go serve teams

Pray for our Go Trip teams and Go Serve members as they advance the gospel here and around the world.

  • Prayerfully consider your involvement in a 2026 Go Trip. Interest meetings for the Clarkston (June) and Bogota (July and October) trips will occur on Sunday, February 8 and Sunday, March 8 at 12:30 in Rooms 100 and 102.
  • Pray for our college team as they prepare to serve in Bogota from March 13-20. Team members include Gene, Gayle, Eric, Caleb, Olivia, Averey, Peyton, Sam, Isaac, Jared, Esteban, and Logan.
  • Pray for our first student team that will be serving with the Send Relief Atlanta Ministry Center from March 14-20. Pray for Justin, Mary, Jim, Renee, Brylie, Emma, Willow, Emma, Connor, Kellan, Alexander, and Silas.

– Ask God to give them ears to hear (Matthew 13:15), faith to believe (Acts 20:21), and the will to respond (Romans 10:9)
– Ask God to send people into their lives to share the gospel with them (Matthew 9:38)
– Ask God for ways to build caring relationships and do good to them (Galatians 6:10).
