If you were not at the April 26th Gathering, please take a moment to review the Elder Conversation below. We’re excited to prayerfully consider new deacons and introduce a future renovation.
We strive to be good stewards and exercise wisdom with every resource God has given us. This pursuit is practically impacted by the number of people who make up TCBC. Currently, that number has been growing year over year. This sweet blessing brings changes— some that we like and prefer, some that are sacrificial and bring a sense of felt loss. However, if the gospel is being faithfully proclaimed and the church is making disciples to the glory of God, whatever worldly preferences and comforts are lost, we hold lightly. If the Lord continues to grow TCBC, such changes will be needed. If and when they arise, we pray to be a church ready and willing with our eyes set on the kingdom.
Therefore, as we expand our deacon ministry and work to maximize our facilities to serve a growing body of believers, take time to ponder and align with the bigger pursuit: worship. We exist for God’s glory. Pray God takes glory and honor from the worship of our lives. Pray we are transformed by the renewing of our mind to sacrificially think, love, and serve. From the seemingly small things to the large things, may we steward them all for His glory.
