Preteen Fall Retreat
Friday-Saturday, September 25-26 Wise, VA
The TCBC Preteen Retreat is a focused discipleship weekend for 4th and 5th graders. Through Bible teaching, small groups, recreation, and shared experiences, students will have opportunities to grow spiritually and relationally in a meaningful way. Discover more and register here.
Worldview Forum – The Resurrection
Sunday, October 4 at 9:30am
For followers of Jesus, the resurrection is central to our hope. But was it historical? Does that matter? And what does that matter for us today.? On October 4th, at we will have our next Worldview Forum, where we discuss the resurrection and how it impacts us today. Our outdoor service will take place at 11:00am.

Projects
The Go Team and smaller groups of TCBC members will facilitate one project every day to serve Johnson City. Click here to view the list of projects.
Every TCBC member is challenged to intentionally bless someone in your community this week. Let the Go Team know about your intentional effort here. Here are a few ideas:
- pray for, invite to church, and generously tip a restaurant server
- visit and spend time with an elderly or disabled neighbor
- send a note of encouragement and small gift card to your child’s teacher
- buy coffee or provide a snack for co-workers
Collections
ETSU enrolled 88 new international students from 37 countries this semester. Most arrive alone in an unfamiliar culture with little resources. TCBC is partnering with the International Students Department at ETSU to help welcome them by providing a “welcome kit” to help with some essentials and introduce them to the area as well as warm clothing as part of their Fall Bash on October 23. Donations can be dropped off at the Give2Go Cafe downstairs along the stairwell wall through Sunday, September 27. View the instructions and list here.

BIG IDEAS
- The Father is for His children.
- The Father graciously provides His children with everything they need.
- The Father’s love for His children is unbreakable.
PRAY
Spend time praying for your son or daughter this week.
- Pray with your student this week. As you pray, model praying for a love for others that is like God’s love for us.
- As you pray, ask the Holy Spirit to give them a heart that trusts God as their perfect Father.
