John 1:1-5 Jesus Is Fully God


John 1:1-5
(1) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.(2) He was in the beginning with God.
(3) All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made. (4) In him was life, and the life was the light of men. (5) The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

Big truth:
Jesus is fully God


Big Idea: Jesus is the eternal God.

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 8:24
I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.

John 8:58-59
(58) Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” (59) So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.

Big Idea: Jesus has always existed with God.

Big Idea: Jesus is Creator and keeps creation alive.

John 1:3
All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Big Idea: Jesus alone is the source of new life and spiritual sight.
