Neighbors & Nations Part 2

2 Timothy 3:16 – 4:2
16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. 1 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.

You must trust the Word because it is perfect.

  • It is perfect in origin (2 Peter 1:19-21).
  • It is perfect in preservation.

You must study the Word because it is profitable.

  • It is profitable for making disciples.
  • It is profitable for living life.

You must live the Word because it is performative.

  • It commands and it equips.
  • It informs and it enables.

You must preach the Word because it is proclamation.

  • We speak because God has spoken definitively.
  • We speak because God has commanded it decisively.
  • We speak because people need it desperately.
