Ephesians 3:8b-10
PAUL, SAVED BY GRACE, SAYS. . . this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9 and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in[b] God, who created all things, 10 so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.
1 Timothy 3:14-15a
I hope to come to you soon, but I am writing these things to you so that, 15 if I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God,
Point 1: The household of God is created by God.
Point 2: The household of God is welded by love.
1 Timothy 3:15
it is the church of the living God,
Point 3: The household of God is led by a living head.
Lamentations 3:22-24
22 The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.”
1 Timothy 3:15c
the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth.
Point 4: The household of God is the manifestation of Truth.
1 Timothy 3:16
Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness:
He was manifested in the flesh,
vindicated by the Spirit,
seen by angels,
proclaimed among the nations,
believed on in the world,
taken up in glory.
Point 5: The household of God proclaims the gospel of Jesus Christ.
